Today is a Photo Friday all about Legos!
Inspired by this photo that I took last spring or summer, I felt the urge to take some pictures of some neat Lego sets! So, thanks to my brother who owns four of these five Lego buildings, I got out our Legos and had a photo shoot!
I love the pictures others have taken that are up close pictures focusing on the details of buildings, natures, junk, etc. They have the ability to make most anything beautiful because they focus on the little, often unnoticed details. And that’s what I wanted to do as well. But with a new twist.
I’m taking up close pictures of Legos!
The Grand Emporium! In my eyes this set is the most famous by far, partly because it was the first and almost biggest building we’ve every had. It’s outside grander is rivaled by none and it’s only shorter than one of our other buildings. Plus it’s a mall!
Complete with decorative flags, an ice cream vendor, and even a window washer this building truly lives up to it’s name of grand!
The next door neighbors may not seem as majestic but you never know what surprises await inside them!
Squeezed up beside our mighty Grand Emporium, Al’s Barber Shop is a perfect spot to find yourself after shopping through the mall. Decorated in a red, white, and blue theme, I find it a quaint, bright spot in the midst of our little Lego town!
Parked next to Al’s this is my brother’s favorite building and wins a high spot in my mind too! The bright, red sign out front proudly displays why we both like it so much. It’s a place for playing pool!
Gotta love the detail here! Wood floor, pool table and balls, and that cozy little fan! I want to shrink to Lego size and explore!
But pool playing is only part of this building. Go up one story and you’ll discover Ace Brickman, the towns own detective! (Doesn’t the name so fit?!)
He’s got everything a detective needs, a magnifying glass, an assistant to bring him coffee, oh yes and all he has to do to get break is head downstairs to play some pool! I’d say he’s all set.
Next door is my personal favorite. My house and pet shop!
Homey, elegant, and peaceful this two buildings were specifically designed to be smaller and calmer than the others. And they are just that. They would fit perfectly into any cozy, little town!
This regal restaurant is called the Parisian Restaurant.
Despite its royal, fancy appearance it is filled with a quiet, inviting atmosphere making it the perfect place for dinning out!
It has a upper story deck that can be seen from the alley. A peaceful place to relax after any day but it is especially a fun after a good day of shopping!
The Palace Cinema!
It really needs no other introduction. This theater is relaxing, exciting, and has a special sparkle that few other buildings can have!
After a fun day shopping, a stroll through town, and a yummy supper, this is the perfect place to end the day! That reminds me, my day is about to end. Maybe I’ll go grab some popcorn, settle into a comfy seat, and watch a favorite movie! What about you? What do you do for fun? I challenge you to stop your busy day, observe the beautiful details around, and relax. Take in the beauty, and enjoy doing something just for the fun of it!
