The flowers of the field. They bring me joy just to gaze at them. They bring blessings by simply being around.
Earlier this spring I was captivated by the beauty of our daffodils! As spring has continued, the first flowers have faded and are now gone. Yet, in the wake of their passing, new flowers have lifted their heads and smiled out at us. And every new bud is a sparkle of beauty that brings fresh joy to my soul!
And, of course, when something beautiful is around I must always try to capture it with a camera! Tiger, my cat, thinks he deserves to be in the way whenever I am taking pictures. This actually works to my advantage! He is very photogenic, especially with flowers. (Don’t tell him I said that, it might degrade his mighty tom-catness.) 😉 Still, if he wants his picture taken then I’ll gladly take it!
The Grape Hyacinth were so fun! I simply love their color! They also make me think of Anne Shirley’s puffed sleeves! I guess God came up with that style long before we did!
You can tell I loved these flowers, I’ve already mentioned them here as one of my favorite spring things!
Next are the tulips. Shining in many different colors they bloomed with the other flowers and gave me many more reasons to smile!
Their diverse colors and intricate detail is magnificent.
And their beauty is not easily missed which is obvious by their popularity!
And we can’t forget the dandelions. I, actually, can say that I like them. After all they look like a star and pom-pom collided and became a flower! Then they landed on earth for a few short days!
And when they grow old and blow away it is so gorgeous. Because what, I ask, is more magical than fluffy star dust floating away over a summer breeze? Honestly, I am convinced, dandelions really are retired stars. And they fall to earth just to see what is going on!
But we’re not done yet! Just as the previous flowers began to fade here came more!
On tall, slender stalks they rose and greeted the world with a royal, purple color! And I, by the way, was enthralled.
Yet they weren’t the only new flowers!
Cue the pansies!
Look closely at this pansy’s little friend, Miss Ladybug. Does anyone else see the heart? Doesn’t that just fit a ladybug! And doesn’t that just fit God! I love His creativity. Oh, the detail He puts into life!
And speaking of detail the Iris are nothing less than amazing!
This one looks like a cozy room for fairies to read in! Can’t you see the fluffy pillows sticking out on the pedals! Imagine cuddling up in this little room with the breeze wafting through and sunlight peeking in. Picture cozy pillows that are waiting to be used and a perfect place to relax! Fluffy stars and reading rooms, oh, don’t you just love flowers!
Last of all we have these little gems. Planted by God they came up their own accord. They could be called weeds, but a weed is a plant that does not belong where it is, and they fit in right where they are.
Their five little pedals open wide to the sky and radiate their purple color. They are simple. They are small. And they are made by God to simply be where they are and to show of His creativity. Therefore, they are perfect.
And, in fact, we’re the same way. We are perfect because He made us. And He made us specially to be right here, right now, and do what we were made to do. And when we do what we were made to do we show His amazing goodness! Like flowers that inspire people by just blooming, you do the same by living the life God gave you. Remember that. And live beautifully!
