Today, after two Photo Friday posts, I’m in the mood for a poem! And I choose rocks for the subject. Not normal, I know, but that’s what makes it fun! 😉
The most amazing minerals I read about today.
I’ll tell you all about them! Here’s what I’m going to say:
Diamonds, rubies, and emeralds are each a famous gem,
And I love to share with you what all I’ve learned about them!
Diamonds are most famous. They get the most fanfare.
But it’s the emeralds and the rubies that are actually most rare!
From crystal clear to black, the color ranges span,
Making all, unique gemstones their own kind of grand!
The rarest of all gemstones, the gorgeous Tanzanite,
Is only found in one place, Mount Kilimanjaro height!
Some are rocks some are not, like the creamy pearl.
But every single gemstone adds its sparkle to this world!
The Beauty of a Gem.
Most gemstones were made years ago perhaps in Noah’s flood
Proving that God can use disasters to make something good.
It took a lot of energy to make each precious stone
Yet since no one was there to watch, the process is unknown.
But true to scientific minds, the scientists all try
To find out how these gems were made and to also find out why!
It would take a lot of force, lot’s of heat and pressure,
To make these gorgeous gemstones, that’s what they know for sure.
So they keep on studying, trying to understand
How God made these gemstones that are so very grand.
The gemstones sometimes remind me that, like how they’re made,
So the troubles in my life let God’s power be displayed!
I go through things that, at the time, do not seem too great
But eventually I’ll see God’s plan if I have the faith to wait!
So as the scientists study and learn about each gem,
I know I’ll see God’s greatness hidden in each of them!
God made these shining wonders so everyone can see
The goodness of our Creator and His majesty!
So praise Him every morning and in everything you do!
Cause the God who made the gemstones is the God who loves you!
