So in this post I wrote a little about my trip to Haiti. I’ve been inspired by the memories of that trip for today’s post. Thought most of Haiti isn’t exactly picturesque there are a few places that are awesome! And I would like to share one with you all today!
The first tropical beach I saw in real life was on the beautiful shore of Haiti. Sparkling water lapped the white sand beaches and palm trees spread leafy arms over us to shade us from the blazing tropical sun.
The sky was a deep blue and the sea sparkling turquoise. The sand was soft and relaxing after the weary hike over the mountain and the water was the perfect refreshment after the hot afternoon! Honestly, it couldn’t have been better!
After all the heat and dust of the previous days the ocean was a wonderful sigh!
In fact the ocean is always a glorious sight!
The palm trees were shining in the sun!
The waves were sparkling and tickling the shore (and my feet.)
There were brightly colored boats lining the shores ready to be used the next day, Monday, for fishing!
We built sandcastles,
relaxed in the sand,
and enjoyed the beautiful scenery.
While some might say Haiti is all dust and grime, this beach can easily prove that it is not.
The beach was nestled at the foot of the mountains and it opened into a sparkling bay. It was alive with color, adventure, and gorgeous tropical wildlife!
For sure that beaches beauty is unlike any other place I’ve been!
