Like most Mondays I’m in the mood for poems! I’m thinking of poems that make you want to dance to their rhythm or I want a poem that will have a quaint little saying! So here’s what I’m imagining!
What to Bake?
It’s time to bake!
What shall we make?
How ’bout a cake or a pie!?
Just something good
That tastes like it should
And makes people happily sigh!
Ever Wonder Why?
Here’s a riddle that wonders why.
Why is dirt on the ground not the sky?
And it asks why’s a tree a tree?
And why on earth is a bee a bee?
Why is green, green? Why is mean, mean?
Why is blue, blue? Why is true, true?
Here’s my answer, funny as it will seem.
I have an answer to why mean’s mean.
I have an answer to give to you.
And it will tell you why true is true!
A long time ago, before this land,
Was a mighty King who was very grand.
He made this world and named each thing.
And we still use the names made by that King!
Why, after all these years, have they not changed?
Cause the King was good at making names!
Besides He made it all with His own hand
So surely He has the right to name His land!
Thoughts can make you happy.
Thoughts can make you sad.
Thoughts can make you angry.
Thoughts can make you glad.
We can think of colors
Like yellow, blue, and pink.
But one thing is for sure
Thoughts always make you think!
I have a little Kitten that grew into a cat.
She’s always rather silly. Yes, that is a fact!
She loves to chase sunbeams. She dances in the wind!
She loves to play lots of things but mostly she will pretend!
She imagines she’s a bird, she really wants to fly.
Or she plays that she’s a tree reaching to the sky.
She once was an explorer that dove into the sea.
But though she pretends that, she won’t swim with me!
She’s been many places but where e’re she will roam
I am always be quite certain that she will come back home!
For lunch time and supper always come around
And as soon as they do my kitten can be found!
