Another Monday morning is dawning all cozy and rainy! I love rain! I love most weather but rain has a kind of peacefulness that soaks into my soul and brings encouragement to my spirit! Funny how somethings will do that! Rain makes me want to settle in for the day and either relax or get something done! And it inspires me to think and figure mysteries out! So today I am describing things through poetry!
A headache is a problem deep within your head.
You can’t get it out so it bothers you instead!
A smile can be used by anyone to say,
‘I am really happy. This is a good day!’
A frown is a feeling that knew no way out.
So instead of staying inside, it became a pout!
Happiness is rated by the feelings deep within.
But joy is known by all who have hope about the end.
Anger is a pain that knows no other way
To get other people to hear what it must say!
These aren’t the only things I’ve tried defining! I have five more little poems illustrating Joy, Peace, Patience, Hope and Love. These five virtues can be rather confusing to me. And I am always trying to understand them. Here’s what I came up with!
Joy’s not just being happy in early morning light,
Joy is being positive in the darkness of the night.
Peace is felt with joy but is really not the same.
Peace is a gentle calm even when in pain.
Patience is not just waiting but often it’s withstanding
Even though all else says the problem’s too demanding!
Hope is not just thinking something good might come.
Hope is really knowing it will be good when done!
Love is truly caring, not just for somethings,
But for the people close to you and for God, the King of kings.
Have a joy filled week!
