Wondrous evenings, late spring nights.
The stars shining brightly are my lights.
I love it when I gaze up at the sky,
And see the night lights up so high.
I love each moment in the spring,
But I love rain-filled evenings more than anything.
For after a rain, the air is wet,
The sky is gray but not black yet.
The clouds still rumble now and then,
Though the storm has finally reached it’s end.
The roofs drip of water, trees do too.
The sky, though dark, has hints of blue.
The birds are singing; frogs join in,
Another evening will soon begin.
I love relaxing during these hours.
I love remembering cool, spring showers.
The new, wet grass, the clear, fresh air,
The animals singing everywhere.
I take it all in and smile a lot
At the beauty of this world and the joy I’ve got
God gave a precious gift to me
When he gave me eyes so I could see.
Eyes to see and ears to hear
The beauty He made that is always near.
He made spring evenings, and spring days,
To show His goodness in many ways.
The things I mentioned they are just a few,
Of the the creation He’s made and that is true.
He made this world so extremely well,
And spring evenings, this truth they tell.
So as I relax in these gorgeous days
I remember God’s love and amazing grace!
Spring will always be a favorite of mine and I mentioned in this post that there are so many spring things I love to do! I guess I’m just going to keep adding to this list because picnics, like this picnic, are a favorite of mine. And like I said earlier about spring evenings, they’re the best! 😉
